Dr Beverley David
Ph.D. | D.Clin.Psy. | C.Psych.

Hello. My name is Dr Beverley David. I was born in Wales and lived most of my life in the UK, before relocating to Canada several years ago. I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I received my Clinical Psychology Doctorate Degree from the University of Birmingham in 2013.

Before moving to Canada, I had the privilege of working at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where I supported patients, families and the health professional teams who provide first class health care. I also featured regularly in the Channel 4 documentary series Inside Birmingham Children’s Hospital, which was filmed on-site.

I completed my first Ph.D in Sleep Research (Insomnia) at Loughborough University in 2004 while also developing and delivering the Sleep Management in Primary Care and the advance Supervision of Sleep Management in Primary Care curriculum. I co-authored Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) self-help booklets and was the principal researcher for a Randomised Control Trial looking at efficacy and effectiveness of self-help CBT-I.

In 2003 I completed my Masters Degree in Health Psychology at the University of Nottingham, where my thesis focused on communication and support between cancer patients and health care providers.

I have a history of research and lecturing, have published in peer review journals and enjoy presenting at international conferences.
